The San Juans are the most photographed mountains in Colorado, and Owl Creek Pass is one of our favorites for access to amazing landscapes and wildlife.

Here are some of the best photography spots to explore in Ridgway:

Dennis Weaver Memorial Park: This beautiful park located in the heart of Ridgway offers stunning views of the surrounding San Juan Mountains, especially during sunrise and sunset. The park is also home to a tranquil pond, which provides an ideal backdrop for nature photography.

Ridgway State Park: With over 1,000 acres of land, Ridgway State Park is a nature lover's paradise. The park offers several hiking trails that lead to stunning views of the surrounding landscape, as well as opportunities to capture wildlife, including elk, deer, and eagles.

Ridgway Creative District: If you're looking for an urban photography experience, head to the Ridgway Creative District. This vibrant district is home to numerous art galleries and studios, as well as colorful murals and unique architectural details that offer endless photo opportunities.

Dallas Divide: Located just outside of Ridgway, Dallas Divide is a scenic location that offers panoramic views of the San Juan Mountains. The area is particularly beautiful during the fall, when the leaves change colors and the landscape is transformed into a vibrant tapestry of reds, oranges, and yellows.
