About Ridgway AREA Chamber of Commerce

I am an insurance professional. I grew up in Texas, and have lived in Colorado since 2013 and Ridgway since 2021. My husband and I did a random trip to the area years ago and immediately fell in love and made it our life’s goal to move here! I love all of Ridgways outdoor activities, especially hiking and spending time by the water. I also LOVE the farmers market! I absolutely love to travel and am happy to go almost anywhere as long as I don’t have to drive!

I am an accountant in Montrose. I have been helping out the chamber since 2017. I grew up in Richmond Indiana. I ended up in Ridgway because I married a Montrose boy who wanted to open a restaurant and Ridgway is where we found one available. I love going to Colorado Boy in the summer to see old friends, since I now live in Montrose. I make a point to play tennis in Ridgway all summer, especially since I watched the courts being built and they’re the best courts around!

Ryan is a Real Estate Broker with Ridgway Real Estate and a former cybersecurity sales director. After spending the better part of a decade in Denver, Ryan and his wife, Lea, moved to Ridgway to fully embrace their love for the mountains. He brings a wealth of experience in business strategy, team leadership, and technology to the local business community. Committed to giving back, Ryan works closely with the non-profit Peer Kindness to build and deliver an e-learning platform focused on bullying prevention. When he’s not working, you can find him splitboarding, trail running in the San Juan Mountains, or exploring backcountry trails on his dirt bike and in his Jeep. And despite a career rooted in digital tech, Ryan loves to disconnect, he has a deep appreciation for the analog, collecting both typewriters and vinyl records.

Sierrah Bennett lives in Ridgway and works as a real estate broker in the surrounding San Juan Mountain communities. She enjoys being involved locally and connecting with fellow community members through the Ridgway Chamber of Commerce. In the summer, you’ll likely find her camping, spending time at the lake, or hosting friends who come to visit and experience the beauty of Ridgway.

I was an international business major (French and Business) in my college years who now finds herself doing a lot of business but very little French after residing in Ridgway since 2004. Since 2012, my husband and I have owned and run a local concrete company, with my focus being on the accounting end of the business. I grew up in rural Minnesota on a farm, and though I absolutely loved growing up there, I honestly never thought I’d live in a rural area after college. The joke was on me, as after visiting Ridgway in 2003, I returned to Ridgway in 2004 to spend the winter with a college friend, met my future husband, and never left! I’ve since fallen in love with our town and our area and feel very blessed to get to raise our children in such an amazing community. I love to walk or bike to Frontier Field at the Athletic Park to watch our kids play baseball and soccer in the local youth programs. I love to travel with Ridgway as my home base, so I’m always working on improving my various language skills and love how many local residents are also working on their multi-lingual skills!

I like to think I am still figuring out my career. I have been involved in many businesses including owning a bike shop, an event production company and have been VP of Sales and Marketing for a national Kombucha brand and a healthy energy bar. As a kid I spent most of my years in a rural town in the Ozark Moutains in North Arkansas. Most of the rest of my time from attending college at The University of Texas until just a few years ago has been in Austin, TX. One of my favorite things to do in Ridgway is to walk to the farmer's market and load up on good stuff for the upcoming week. A fun fact about me? My Leadville Trail 100 PR is 26:55.

I bought property sight unseen up on Hastings Mesa in 1999 while living in California - and only first visited it in 2002. It was more beautiful than the Realtor stated. I then started visiting Ridgway, Orvis and all that the area has to offer on a yearly basis. My volunteerism started by volunteering in Telluride for MountainFilm, TASP, many of the music festivals etc. over in Telluride. I bought a home in Pleasant Valley in 2021 and have never looked back. Helping out previously for The FUSE committee and now for the chamber feels very good. I look forward to helping Ridgway prosper.

Marketing Contractor RACC. I grew up in Upstate New York and moved to Colorado in 2007. I discovered Ridgway while attending school at Fort Lewis College in Durango and moved to the San Juan area in 2011. I most enjoy hiking in the mountains with my dog Rey or spending time on the reservoir in the summer. I also very much enjoy Orvis Hot Springs. Things I hope to do this year are learn new songs on the guitar, get better at speaking Spanish, practice Sign Language, study constellations, and spin poi.
