RACC is thrilled to announce the opening of the Visitor Center on Memorial Day — Monday, May 25th! After months of planning, organizing, and asking “where should we put this brochure?” approximately 4,000 times, we’re excited to officially open our doors.
One of the most important things we want the community to know is the location of the Visitor Center: at the entrance to Heritage Park on the edge of the Rodeo Grounds. Basically, if you hit the mountains, you’ve gone slightly too far.
In 2026, the Visitor Center will serve not only visitors exploring our beautiful area, but also locals and businesses looking to promote everything that makes Ridgway special. Our goal is to create an improved experience featuring local history, business information, guidance to area activities, and a new retail space focused on local businesses and makers.
To help support the Chamber, we’ll also be offering t-shirts and hats designed by local artist Jack Rajca, owner of Fishbone Graphics and Printing. Jack is not only among Ridgway’s elite musical talent, but also a gifted artist who has created original artwork for the Grateful Dead and others — which means our gift shop just became significantly cooler overnight.
If you are a local maker interested in featuring your products at the Visitor Center, please reach out to director@ridgwaycolorado.com.
We’re also planning a Grand Opening Party on Sunday, June 7th featuring local catered food, live music, and what we fully expect will be at least a few people pretending they “just stopped by” while secretly coming back for seconds.
We can’t wait to welcome everyone!
